Why did you choose to become an associate advisor?
What’s a memory from your client interactions that’s stayed with you?
My first ever in-person meeting was incredibly special to me. With no distractions, just a face-to-face conversation over a meal. This client had had some pretty significant life changes and new goals as he had reached retirement. I loved the look on his face when we told him that he had actually saved far more than he needed, and therefore we were able to tell him that for his first trip maybe he should take an extra week at that incredible resort in Hawaii that he was looking at!
Why are you excited to be part of MFA?
I was incredibly excited to join MFA because of how well everyone works together as a team. There is not one person at this company who I feel wouldn’t drop everything to help a coworker who needed it. We all eat lunch together every day, not just as coworkers but as friends. I am very thankful to be part of this amazing group of people.
Tell us about your next vacation?
My next big vacation that I am hoping to go on is to Thailand. One of my best friends from college grew up there and has since moved back. I haven’t seen him since the weekend that I graduated from college, so I am really looking forward to seeing him (and traveling to Asia for the first time)!
Do you have a book/podcast/movie recommendation? What do you like about it?
A new book series I started reading recently is called Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. It is a sci-fi/fantasy book following Coast Guard vet Carl and his ex-girlfriend’s cat, Princess Donut, as they try to survive a deadly inter-galactic game show. It is an incredibly humorous series, and light-hearted enough to read before bed so that you can fall asleep with a smile on your face.
