Team Member Spotlight
Venya joined the MFA team in early 2026, bringing a fresh perspective and disciplined focus to our advisory practice. As an Associate Advisor, he specializes in the vital work of turning strategic financial goals into practical realities with the help of our lead advisors, ensuring that every component of a client’s plan is managed with unwavering attention to detail.

Why did you choose to become an associate advisor?
I chose to become an associate advisor because I love working with people and delving into wealth advising strategy. I particularly like my role because I get a boost of energy every time I get to help someone and because I get to be exposed to an environment full of constant learning opportunities.
What’s a memory from your client interactions that’s stayed with you?
For me, the memories that stand out most are when I’m able to step in and provide help in urgent situations. Whether it’s assisting with a time-sensitive money distribution or helping my lead advisor manage multiple moving parts on a tight timeline, I enjoy the added responsibility that comes with it.
I get a real sense of satisfaction when I hear from a client that we were able to help them avoid what could have been a stressful or complicated situation.
Why are you excited to be part of MFA?
I’m excited to be part of MFA because I love the diverse backgrounds and skillset everyone has, I love the small team dynamic, and because I’m eager to prove myself as an Associate Advisor!
Tell us about your next vacation?
For my next vacation, I’d really like to visit a country in the Caribbean. I’m keen to immerse myself in a new culture, try out new cuisine, explore natural and historic sites, as well as just float in warm waters and enjoy a sunny day. Stopping by a museum to any place I go to is always a must!
Do you have a book/podcast/movie recommendation? What do you like about it?
I’d recommend Haruki Murakami’s book, The City and it’s Uncertain Walls, to anyone who likes character-study type books. I read this book around this time of the Spring last year and I enjoyed it as a nice cozy and contemplative read. I like it a lot as it is a solid magical-realism genre piece, blending an ethereal world with the typical. Exploring subjects such as starting anew and wrestling with the concept of the heart versus the mind through a simultaneously very realistic and surreal lens. I also enjoyed how the novel is a kind of love letter to libraries in its second half as well. Check it out if you’re interested!
